Mitashi has ventured into the budget tablet segment with the launch of its PLAY BE 100 tablet. The company claims this tablet to be a business entertainment tablet.
Mitashi PLAY BE 100 has a 7-inch screen with 5-point capacitive touch 800x480 pixel resolution display. It is powered by1.2GHz processor with 512MB RAM and 3000mAh battery. It comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich (version 4.0) on board. It offers 4GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32 GB. There is a 2-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera. The tablet also comes with USB dongle support.
TheMitashi PLAY BE 100 comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,790 and an optional keyboard called KB 100 for Rs. 1,299.
Mitashi PLAY BE 100 will be competing with likes of Micromax Funbook, Zync Z930, Karbonn Smart Tab 2 and BSNL Penta IS703C. Most of the tablets in the price range of Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 6,500 are offering similar specs. The only exceptions are Lava E-Tab Z7H and Zync Z930, which are slightly cheaper at Rs. 5,499 and Rs.4,999.
However, a better option is to consider BSNL Penta IS703C which is available for Rs. 6,999 and is offering 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage while the others including Mitashi offer 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
Pantel Technologies, that is offering BSNL Penta IS703C, had recently also launched a 3D tablet, which is priced at Rs. 7,499.
