Based on the many suggestions which came up during
the IT investment policy 2015 – draft, Government of Goa should think about the
finalizing the same by taking one more round of reviews from the stakeholders.
Though it’s always good to take time to plan and
proceed, we should be also aware that we have already lost the crucial years of
time frame where creamy layer of IT flavours has been enjoyed by the other
states. Today, we see 90% of the passed out graduates from different Engineering
Colleges from Goa are seeking jobs in neighbouring states or abroad. Only few
who have family constraints are staying back majority of them are girls. Those
who opt to work from Goa are not finding adequate jobs and have to forcefully
get in to some business start up. There are many Goan small entrepreneurs like

from home as well. This is a good thing about IT industry that you can work

personal visits at the clients place unless it is really required for

the reliability and entrepreneurs capacity to sustain in the market for longer
number of years since software development or IT services is just not about
developing and installing a product but also providing and maintaining healthy
support relationship with the customer.
