Police have issued summons to former CM Shri Digambar Kamat and also questioned former PWD mister Churchill bab after the US firm’s Louis Berger disclosure in a court there. Japan-funded water augmentation and sewerage project for Goa where in Tenders for the project, executed under JICA (Japanese International Cooperation Agency) during then PWD minister Shri Churchill Alemao and everyone know that is a normal procedure for executing the tenders that the setting has to be done first to hook any project. For their badluck officials of the New Jersey-based Louis Berger, in a submission before a US court, had admitted paying bribe to an Indian 'minister' to win consultancy for the line laying project in Goa and Guwahati. The Rs 1031-crore project was approved when the Congress Government was in power under the leadership of Shri Digambar Kamat, for augmenting the water supply in south Goa and laying sewerage lines in state's major cities. One has to see whether is chapter of corruption is also like any other story which will be closed with due course of time? Is it going to be another eye opener for the Government officials such as Chief Engineers or the project directors who are shaking their heads everytime when the Minister giver oral instructions and nothing in writing.
