Curiosity amongst Nintendo fans for details regarding the company's new Wii U console may just meet its end soon.
The Japanese gaming company is all set to hold an event on September 13 in New York City with Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils Aime. He is likely to discuss and answer various questions surrounding the console such as the launch date, availability of game titles and more importantly the price.
The event is expected to highlight "more about how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment."
Last time such an event was held in New York City in January hosted by Reggie. The event witnessed the announcement for the release date and price of the 3DS. The company has just launched the successor to the 3DS, the 3DS XL in the US for $200 followed by a UK release in July.
Nintendo had officially showcased the Wii U at E3 this year. A GamePad that will act as the primary control for the Wii U will accompany the console. The GamePad can function as an independent handheld allowing gamers to play games on it and even watch their favourite shows.
Some of the launch titles for the Wii U shown at E3 were NintendoLand, Pimin 3, New Super Mario Bros. U and Zombie U. Other games announced for the successor to the popular Wii console included the fitness title "Wii Fit U," a sing-and-dance-along game called "SiNG" and the word-filled puzzler "Scribblenauts Unlimited" from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
