We first heard about Motorola-Intel partnership back at Consumer Electronics Show, but the duo is yet to release any smartphones in the market. However, it is about to change very soon as both the companies have sent out invites for a joint event in London on September 18.
Now, UK technology website Pocket Lint is reporting that Motorola will be revealing a variant of RAZR M smartphone, which was announced yesterday at New York, as an Intel powered smartphone. According to the website, a Motorola spokesman confirmed the same to them.
Motorola RAZR M is currently powered by Qualcomm's S4 dual-core processor, but the variant being announced on Sep 18 event, will have Intel's Atom processor on-board.
The branding of the phone will also be changed from RAZR to something else.
Motorola RAZR M packs 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced edge-to-edge qHD display, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and 8MP rear camera.
On paper, RAZR M is certainly a decent device, but the same smartphone with Intel processor, might come as a disappointment for many as consumers are expecting an all new device.
