With the LG Nexus smartphone just a month away from its launch, more details about the device have now surfaced online, courtesy Paul O' Brien of MoDaCo.
The smartphone, that's a derivative of the Korean manufacturer's Optimus G device, will feature a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM and running on the updated release of Android v4.2. It is expected to launch in variants of 8 and 16GB with no microSD card support.
The LG Nexus smartphone is also rumoured to come with a 1280×768 True-HD IPS screen and an 8-megapixel camera. It is likely to come with built-in wireless charging and a non-user replaceable battery. There are still no official images of the smartphone anywhere, but considering the rumour mills churning so quickly, it should be out soon.
We had earlier reported citing Android and Me that LG and Google will release the next Nexus smartphone within 30 days, probably by mid-November. The blog also mentioned, citing sources familiar on the matter that the upcoming Nexus has already been leaked in the press without specifying the device.
Prior to this report, we covered a leaked DoCoMo document confirmed multiple nexus smartphones from the stables of LG, Sony and Samsung. NTT DoCoMo's winter line-up has revealed the device named as Samsung Galaxy Nexus II, LG Optimus Nexus and Sony Xperia Nexus.
